Felling

Felling a tree should only be undertaken as a last resort. If a tree is causing structural damage to property or is diseased and likely to fall, then our tree surgeons can help remove it. They will decide whether to use the traditional felling technique or sectional dismantling.

Using the traditional method, a cut is made in the tree and this decides which direction the tree will fall. We use this method when space is not an issue and there is no danger to neighbouring properties. We make sure that the tree will fall in the safest place and exactly where we want it. Clearing land for development is one example when we may use this method.

If space is limited or there is a risk of danger to other properties, we will use sectional dismantling. Using this method our tree specialist remove one section of the tree at a time, so it does not fall in one go.
